If the new products adds or antiquates NAS wouldn't NTAP drop?

Doesn't this assume the new products from EMC are really something new and improved? I am long EMC and NTAP (bigger position) but it seems to me that EMC needs to sell product in this space not just talk about it before NTAP should tremble. I kind of liken this to the minivan. GM et al were slow to respond to Chryslers move into minivans. When they finally did enter the arena Chrysler's first mover advantage more or less held the day. It seems to be a sort of weakness that EMC would insist that NAS was a waste of time for so long and now be acknowledging it and claiming to be a leader in this field. EMC is a great company and may one day rule NAS but for now it is a small dog sniffing at NTAP.
