James,

I am long Avant, so am somewhat familiar with the story. I bought it on April 11 at 11.75 as a rare tech value stock and to balance out the PE of my chip design holdings, my other bet in this sector being start-up NMTC whose PE should remain negative for some time to come. <G>

As a lawyer, I am no stranger to litigation risk. I figured that the shares got a bit ahead of themselves in Friday's 40% leap on the dismissal of criminal indictment. Had assumed that it would get punished today as investors figured out that this is only the third inning and civil suit remains. Should have taken profits Friday. Now I guess I'm in it until the next bout of mania breaks out.

"Buy sheep, sell deer" always seemed a good motto to me.
