Actually, the same exact method was used in November '99. Hence, the increase in cash occurred using the same measurement. One reason could be the Market rout in April may have increased sales and freed up cash. Another reason is that many may have anticipated the excessive Market valuation, and had already begun to take some profits.

I suspect that more lurkers and newbies also posted this time. If so some of us are still adjusting our portfolios to G, K & wannabee's. That means our cash positions still reflect old thinking (mutual funds and bonds). I found the exercise very enlightening since I had never actually analyzed my entire portfolio in this manner.
Adjustments take time. I found the survey invaluable. Thanks.
