Not true, Rarebird. The growth of the Internet is not slowing, the growth RATE is slowing. I don't have to tell you the difference. Anyone could tell you that if the rate is slowing, this is not bad news at all, just inevitable news. It's called the law of big numbers. As for Ackerman, he says bandwidth supply greatly exceeds the demand for it for the next few years. Well, somebody please remind Ackerman that video over the Internet is more than a 1Kb file. :) Also, please remind him that the wireless Internet doesn't travel through the ether alone - it takes landbased bandwidth too!
