I would have thought that the OS and the Apps would be
two new monopolies in their own right. And, subject to
the same sort of pursuits that we witnessed in the current
case.

I for one cannot imagine that the lawyers will
create a solution that will bring their practices to a
screeching halt. I trust them to this much basic
intelligence.

I know. If govt. pushes for open source, I am going to
found an icecream company. ANd my mission will be to make
a flavor that best tastes with Coke. I think I might need
access to the Coke formula, for full inter-operability.
Consumer benefit. All that's left is a lawyer with some
free time ...
