Doubtful. More likely someone is hedge heavily
against a currency & is using gold to fund it,
with maybe a XAU component. So when the European
currency futures close, they equalize against it

the weekly london pm gold fix still shows a turn in effect,
although the red and the blue are cuddling up at the moment.

Actualy that makes me feel better,
because I haven't yet been dumb enough
to drop 2 Billion in 4 months.
Any way I make resolutions like that every year at New Years.
You never know when a surprise high (or low) tide
in the pot is going to catch you unawares.
