Any person who really believed in freedom would have given the finger to the house committee on Un American activities. I always disliked Ayn- I find her philosophy empty and humorless- and NOW I see she is a hypocrite too.

The house committee for Un American activities was like the Star Chamber and a secret police force all rolled into one- the IRONY of dissing Russia to an organization like that is IMMENSE. That committee was antithetical to freedom, to art, to everything that should be American. For Ayn to criticize the USSR and go along with the house Committee is either self interested hypocrisy or total blindness- I wonder which it was? Ugh. Ayn Rand makes me sick.
