Re China: The important thing here is the concept and the vision. Looking and planning ahead has certainly done wonders for Dell over the past 5 years(G). Without vision little gets accomplished. What is the next step for a majority of disadvantaged Chinese? The auto would be a much dersired device, at a cost of $7 to 35K with few roads and lack of petrol. Financially out of reach at this time , IMO Family washing machines at a cost of 300 to 1000 ? . Useful but not entertaining, especially for young people. Nobody ever got anything out of one except what was put into it. Begin there with laundromats, much less costly. But for the same price- a computer, that intriguing audio visual device that the entire family can use, which incites youngsters to learn to write and communicate and learn a trade which can lead to a move out of poverty. Capability for on-line trading which again represents at least a chance (however slim) to improve ones position in life. sig
