"..he noticed a female bear, beautiful, strong, but seemingly unconscious of the fact that she was alluringly female as she stood immobile in her black coat with the sign of the dollar embroidered on the back, gazing down at the steel factory below. "Are you alright?" he asked, not out of altruistic concern for her well-being, but because he thought he could get personal gratification from her. "Of course I am, " she responded. "I am a superior being. There is nothing mediocre about me. I am aware of my own individualism and I care nothing for your needs except insofar as they meet mine. I also know---A is A." He smiled in admiration at her feistiness. "Pretty good," he admitted, "But B is B." SHe laughed, a bit condescendingly, "But did you know E is E?" He knew then that he wanted her, but only for selfish reasons. "I want you and I'm willing to pay." he informed her. She gazed at him scornfully, "You haven't the knowledge necessary for me to embody the value of your existence. It must be earned." And she turned in a swirl of Chanel, self-esteem, and pure objective reasoning, leaving him to gaze alone, jaw thrust boldly into the wind.. |
