Diamond Find on new Zone

TORONTO, April 19 /CNW/ - Twin Mining Corporation (``Twin Mining'')
(TSE:TWG) is pleased to announce a diamond find in a 0.5 kg sample of
weathered kimberlite, removed from the top of the new Kakivuq zone. This find
is very important to Twin Mining, as it provides early confirmation of the
diamondiferous nature of the extensive 22 km principal dyke system.
The sample was taken by MPH Consulting Limited while recently visiting
the TORNGAT diamond project as part of their Quality Assurance/Quality Control
duties, during the excavation of the 10 tonne samples. A concentrate from the
kimberlite material was produced by simple panning. On first examination of
the concentrate under the microscope, a clearly visible diamond was
discovered. The concentrate has been submitted to Lakefield Research for
further processing, analysis, examination and diamond size determination.
