A T M I Announces Executive and Board Changes
DANBURY, CT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 2000--
Doug Neugold Appointed President of ATMI
A T M I, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATMI), today announced several changes to its executive staff and Board of Directors.
Doug Neugold has been appointed President of A T M I and will have primary responsibility for the operations of the Company. He was previously Executive Vice President of ATMI Materials. Gene Banucci will continue as Chairman and CEO.
Michael Yomazzo, Vice Chairman of Photronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLAB) and Doug Marsh, Vice President, Technology Development for ASM Lithography Holding NV (Nasdaq: ASML) will be joining A T M I's Board of Directors.
Gene Banucci, CEO said, "Doug Neugold, who has had operating responsibility for A T M I Materials over the last year, has demonstrated exceptional executive skills since joining the Company from Johnson Matthey Electronics in early 1998. Initially Doug's focus was on our SDS(r) Gas Source product line, where he concentrated on global expansion and marketing programs which positioned the product for the enormous growth it is now experiencing. Most recently, as Executive Vice President of A T M I Materials, Doug has been aggressively integrating our materials portfolio and putting a global product management organization in place to enable growth well in excess of the rate of market expansion. His promotion to the Presidency of A T M I is well deserved and timely, as we move into our next phase of integration."
"A T M I is very pleased to have gained the services of Mike Yomazzo and Doug Marsh for its Board of Directors. Both are outstanding individuals with unique perspectives on A T M I's markets and business. Mike has spent more than 20 years in the semiconductor industry, in marketing, finance, and executive positions. Doug's nearly 30 years of industry expertise is focused on global sales and marketing to the semiconductor industry. Adding their extensive industry experience to ATMI will help to further strengthen our market leadership plans. They are joining our Board to replace Monte Lawrence and Stephen Siegele, both of whom have recently resigned to pursue other interests."
A T M I provides specialty materials and related equipment and services to the worldwide semiconductor industry.
