Thanks, yes it is my first. Been a Grandfather for 12 days now. It's strange. In many ways I still feel like a kid. Oh well, we go on living and learning.
Further thoughts concerning The Gospel that we are commanded to preach to the whole world:
I am not a rebel and I do not abandon doctrine and theology, but after 20+ years of walking with the Lord, I still feel I have more to learn. As much as I love the truth, I still do not have a complete handle on it. It is becoming clearer to me that the Good News (The Gospel) is not detailed theology, but rather, simply Jesus coming to free us from slavery to our selfish desires, and restoring the relationship with our Creator. The unfortunate thing is that people cannot know the joy of this relationship until they accept Christ themselves. Our mere words just don't cut it. Folks, give him a try, you'll not be disappionted.
