Joan, they should be worried...mutual fund cash levels are at a 26 year low (4% even), and the NYSE short interest ratio is surprisingly low as well. money market funds had outflows of 50 billion bucks in the second half of April. 160 lock-ups expire in May. in short, there's not much fuel to break a fall. of course the Fed is adding reserves to the banking system at an absolutely dizzying pace. MZM has resumed its upward trajectory with a vengeance. as i have mentioned on the Clowns thread, they are trying to stave off something and it's definitely NOT inflation.
