Are you seriously trying to say that the actions of the CIA in Guatemala were undertaken for the sole purpose of making them a banana republic? you are sick dude. Guatemala has been a horror throughout this century at least. I am not condoning our actions over there. But when you have a choice of joning the guerillas or being killed. That is the extent of the freedom to choose. Lest we forget Rigoberta Mench£ T£m:
In recognition of her efforts to promote social justice in Guatemala, Mench£ was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992. After receiving the prize, Mench£ was able to return to Guatemala and work for change. In 1998 she published a second book, Rigoberta: La Nieta de los Mayos (translated as Crossing Borders, 1998).
