Actually, I find it interesting that Andy B was the single largest BRCD shareholder with approx 5% of BRCD stock pre-IPO. Unlike Seth Neiman and Greg Reyes, to my recollection, I have not seen any sales from Andy B. This suggests he owns approx 20 million shares of BRCD ( forgive me if I'm too lazy to dig into the SEC filings to find exact numbers )which equates to $2.5 billion in BRCD stock. In other words, his personal stake in Fibre Channel is worth more than what he sold his Gigabit Ethernet company Granite Systems to CSCO for in 1996. I recall that CSCO bought Granite for approx $220 million in CSCO stock before Granite had any product/revenues.CSCO essentially paid for Andy B's Gigabit Ethernet evangelism ( eg "ATM is DEAD" cover story in Red Herring ) and about 50 engineers.
