REDSM will deliver Sight & SoundTM audio advertising to audiences nationwide



NEW YORK ? April 26, 2000 ? Prism Communication Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Comdisco, Inc. (NYSE: CDO), today announced a contract to provide RED PowerWorkSM high-speed internet connectivity to DistributedMedia.com, Inc. linking the company?s microbroadcasting network of Sight & SoundTM systems to customers nationwide. Through REDSM, DistributedMedia.com will digitally control Sight & Sound systems from its control center in Stamford, Conn.

"The use of Prism?s RED PowerWork means high-speed, wide-band access can now link our nationwide network," said James McManus, president and CEO, DistributedMedia.com. "We believe this represents a landmark use of the power of communications connectivity that, in addition to eBusiness capabilities, will provide us with a platform for delivery of future enhancements to our placed-based media including video and Internet commercial portals."

DistributedMedia.com will use RED PowerWork lines to deliver audio advertising and music to Sight & Sound systems in locations from retail stores to public facilities. DistributedMedia.com?s, Sight & Sound systems are digitally controlled from the company?s home office via the Internet. The company plans to serve 5000 to 6000 locations nationwide by 2001.
