Here Comes The Cold Bucket Of Water:
Every month, people on this thread make the same mistakes.
Every month, certain gold futures options, forwards, futtures expire.
Some months are stronger then other.
But they all have a net effect on the POG.
The realization of this causes a market move in gold, and thus XAU.
In deed, with the falling Euro, the net effect on this is to drive
both gold and the XAU higher.
But each trend only last for three days prior to month end,
to 3 days into the next month.
So, when you say you are a month early, you get no credit.
BUT maybe next time, you'll buy short expiration,
high gamma, and out of the money calls. :)
Study time:
nymex.com
PS: For it to be a rally, you need 5% on daily average till May 9.
