Ted,

As a long time industry veteran, I have never seen a company execute as well as AMD has the last two years. They are running roughshod over Intel, in a disciplined, clockwork fashion.

During the January, 1999 "late mask fix crisis", there was a lot of misunderstanding as to what was going on with the company. I spent much time then trying to convince people that things were going well, and got somewhat frustrated by the level of dissatisfaction being expressed on the thread. I may be hypersensitive over this, but I just don't see how they could be doing any better without the benefit of 20-20 hindsight.

Atiq wanted to sell Dresden. We should thank our lucky stars that he moved on to bigger and better things.
