Sorry to pile on, niner, but you deserve it for a post like that.
First, all that's happened on the Naz recently is the usual short-term swings up and down--precisely the kind of "noise" that GGers try to ignore.
Second, most of us read the whole thread rather than just "searching" it, so overloading the search function is of little concern to us. (Besides, you can always just go to Erick's list for stock-specific message reminders.)
Third and most important, I and almost every regular here found the portfolio display both fascinating and educational. I read every one closely, along with the various commentaries and discussion. Far from being anonymous, most of the posters here are real characters indelibly inked on our collective memory; that's why several dozen came from around the world to our first off-line reunion back in March. The new posters, moreover, represented the most interesting part of the whole exercise. Hell, everyone knows what Lindy has, or that BB holds a personalized QQQ. But to see so many closet G&Kers come out of the woodwork to participate, pay their respects, and share their investing approaches with us was not only great fun but downright moving.
In fact, I would venture to say that the Portfolio Survey is the best thing on the thread so far this year with the exception of Project Hunt.
If you can't see why one would think that, you're probably on the wrong thread.
