tero, there will be many standards in wireless

.......as there are in the world of copper wire. however, as you eloquently stated-- (and i agree)--the next dominant force will be w-cdma throughout europe and much of asia.

america may maintain its mish-mash. if it does, motorola and qualcomm will end up like general motors.

i own a slug of nok and ericy--part of the reason is i want to go with the big winner.

i am not looking for winner take all. so what happens with a couple telecom companies in japan and korea does not decide the race.

look at the charts of nok/ericy vs. qcom. that says it all.
