Kanakaris Launches 85 New Films, Shorts and TV Shows to Play in New Microsoft Windows Media Player 7

COSTA MESA, Calif., May 2, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Kanakaris
Communications, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: KKRS) today launched 85 feature films,
short films and TV shows which are available for viewing at its
www.CinemaPop.com web site. All the newly added Kanakaris content is available
for viewing online exclusively with Microsoft Windows Media technology, and is
compatible with the new Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.

"We are delighted that Kanakaris is providing its rich array of content in
Windows Media Format, taking advantage of the new player's capabilities and the
high-quality audio and video offered by Windows Media," said Kevin Unangst,
group product manager for Microsoft's Digital Media Division.

"About half of the expanded Kanakaris content is in a pay-per-view broadband
format, with stunning television quality delivery, and about half this content
is advertising supported and available free at multiple bandwidths. The new

One of the new features available in pay-per-view broadband is Casablanca
Express, starring Glenn Ford and Donald Pleasence (1989), and short subjects and
classic television shows from Bob Hope, Art Linkletter, Jack Benny and Lucille
Ball.

This brings the total number of titles at Kanakaris Communications' web site
www.CinemaPOP.com using Windows Media Technology to over 300. Several of the
individual offerings are highlighted in links from the WindowsMedia.com web
site.
