<...motorola and qualcomm will end up like general motors.> Gee Curtis, you mean even with a mishmash in the USA, Q! will end up like GM? That's pretty good. If I remember rightly, General Motors got started just after the end of the 18th century. So it has run, so far, for nearly 100 years. That's not a bad innings in anybody's book.
I doubt that QUALCOMM will last for 100 years, let alone nearly 3 centuries.
At one stage, General Motors was about the biggest company on earth.
Nokia is doing okay, but not there yet, even at $260bn market capitalisation. Q! is far from it. Let's hope Q! and Nokia end up competing for GM's 1965 position 30 years from now. I'll be happy! [Actually, nearly dead, but let's ignore that prospect for now. Heck, maybe even really dead!!!].

PSsst, if you "...want to go with the big winner" you needed to buy GSTRF at $8 in the recent downdraft. Too late now.
Jim, I wouldn't want to apologize for having a wrong opinion about what DDI and Q! might be up to with the 3G spectrum in Japan and related negotiations. I don't think people need apologize for being wrong. They should just apologize if they have carelessly or inadvertently damaged other people and wish they had not. Neither do I think you should apologize for thinking the DDI management are as you said. That's your opinion from what you see and why should you apologize for your opinion? The main thing is to change it quickly if something shows you your opinion is unwarranted. That's just my thought for the day. |
