PC Magazine On-Line reviews (4-2-97) had this to say about Pentium color notebooks.

"Finally, we saw the OPTi Viper N chip set for the first time. The Viper N supports the PCI bus (with burst mode), the VL-Bus, and pipeline burst cache. Systems that had a Viper N chip set tended to be the top scorers on our CPUmark16 tests. The Pentium/120-based HP OmniBook 5000 CTS was our top CPUmark16 performer, with a score of 223. The Compaq LTE 5100 was the top-scoring Pentium/90, with a score of 175, and Texas Instruments' Extensa 550CDT was the top-scoring Pentium/75, at 148 (scores refer to units' performance on our CPUmark16 tests)."

This seems pretty good for a company trading below book value. For company financials, you can try the Opti home page (Opti.com).
