Robert, I think GILD was trying to leap-frog over the normal approval process which had required two phase III trials in the past. The FDA has recently lightened that requirement to one Phase III (or maybe one Phase II/III), but GILD filed an NDA on Phase I/II data, and not unexpectedly, the FDA asked for more data. Henry
