Pat: Perhaps your assessment of AVNX is a matter of perception based on the information which you are using regarding the company.

It appears to me that you are relying strictly on the information available to you in AVNX'S S-1 which was prepared in January, 2000, in preparation for the initial public offering of AVNX. That information was compiled from data as of December, 1999. The IPO was February 3,2000.

George Gilder and associates visited AVNX in March,2000, as a part of its research for the April,2000, Gilder Letter.

George's information is more recent than yours. And from what I have been able to discover outside George's letter, his facts are correct as of the time that he wrote them.

Perhaps you could clear up this matter to your satisfaction if you called AVNX Press and Publications Office or the Office of Investor Relations. I am sure that they could provide you with current information about the company.

By using the information in the S-1 and comparing it with what is contained in the Gilder letter together with what is available from the company, you should gain an up-to-date insight into the current situation at AVNX.

If the facts are as they appear, then AVNX is truly a fast-moving company.

Perception is based on facts. And facts are available. George apparently went to the source and got the latest facts.
