DAYTRADING EXPERIMENT: Took about an hour's break from grading to try my hand at a bit of daytrading...papertrades only, since I don't have enough free cash to fund the large positions needed. I'm using only QT real-time 1-minute charts and the nice trendlines one can draw on the charts. No other indicators. All are ask-bid and bid-ask, and assume flash fills. 500 shares traded (one would need about $25k to fund these). $20 roundturn commissions taken out. BVSN short: 46.625-46.5 = $43 BVSN short: 46.375-46 = $168 BVSN short: 45.88-44.625 = $608 BVSN long: 45.125-45.188 = $11 LCOS long: 44.313-44.88 = $264 LCOS long: 45.25-45.75 = $230 -------------------------------------- Total for one hour's work: $1324! Now, what's wrong with this picture? No real money at stake = no emotional involvement = cool-headed trigger-pulling = success! OK, back to the final exams...TC
