John--"Stocks always fall faster than they rise." Well, let's try to make a little, uh, joke. Actually IOMG rose faster than this, just as long as, quod Deus avertat, it doesn't drop another ten points tomorrow. Tell you the truth, this isn't making me feel any better. True, I don't doubt margin calls played their part, as did program trading and stop loss orders, but I'm surprised that we didn't see some bargain hunters getting in at the last minute. Haven't yet read beyond your post, so I don't know if there was some horrific news announced in the final fifteen minutes of the session that had previously been known only to sellers. But one way or another, ugly.
