Personally, it looks as if they are not only taking a jab at PABN and management, but those favOUrably mentioned (as you say) as well.
I'd kinda take it as insulting if someone put in print like that for all the world to see that I had no life.... but then again, that's just me.
After all, there are many more important things in life such as friends, family, children, laughter..... sunlight for goodness sake.
