Forecross is about XML implementation in large Enterprise Databases. XML is an effort to standardize data across all boundaries and all platforms. To get the benefit of sharing standardized data the data must first be tagged. Before the Web Publishing and Data and Document retrieval tools can work to their full potential the data and documents that reside in these databases must be tagged (XML implemented). To fully implement XML into a large enterprise database is a task with several facets. First the tag must adhere to industry as well as general business standards. The data definition for the tables must be changed to denote the proper tag for the proper field and the Source Code must be changed to deal with the changed names and data definitions. All of these processes are accomplished more reliably with software than by hand. Forecross has been automating this type of process for some of the best companies in American and Europe for nearly twenty years. It is intuitive that if XML is an effort to standardize data by means of a tag to facilitate data sharing then before the benefits of this data sharing (B2B, web Publishing, site customization, document retrieval, etc.) may be realized the data must be tagged. This is heavy-duty software infrastructure for the Intranet, Internet, B2B, e-commerce and enterprise data sharing in general. Forecross has three specific software offerings relative to XML. First their legacy migration software to migrate applications from a non-XML structure to a modern XML compatible database. Software to implement XML into all parts of a modern enterprise data base and after XML implementation Forecross offers a product from its Sentinel line to assure proper tagging as applications are maintained going forward. We believe that the previously announced XML implementation project is the first software assisted XML implementation project anywhere.
