Chuck, I totally agree with your position on the "rule of law" being able, or willing, to participate in the abortion issue. I also believe that, when both sides of the issue are so firmly entrenched, that discussions, escalating to debates, and then verbal combat, will never solve anything. This, to me, is an issue between an individual and God. We, as puny humans, sometimes jump in to "help" God. How can it be possible for us to be of any help the the All Powerful God of the universe, who has already told us that; "Vengance is Mine!!"? When I say; "don't interfere in God's work," please don't use me as an example. I would most assuredly fail the entrance exam. It is very difficult, for one with strong beliefs, not to involve himself in such an issue but, I don't see how we can ever settle the issue. If the issue can not be settled by debate, what good does it do the Believer, God, the mother, or the baby? It becomes like spitting into the wind just to get your face wet. IMHO, of course.
Offense to curmudgeons???? I take my titles of curmudgeon, coot, and codger very seriously!! How else are these young whippersnappers going to be kept in line? :^)
