("Airbomb") (CDNX: AIR) has assembled a group of pro and semi-pro mountain bike racers from Canada, Europe and the United States to compete during the 2000 race season.
Joining U.S. National Team member Jeremy VanSchoonhoven to race under the Airbomb colors atInternational events are former and/or current members of both the Canadian & U.S. National Teams as well as other riders.
"This is a grassroots marketing program for us," said David Houston, President of Airbomb. "These athletes are among the top cyclists in the world, and they are all enthusiastic about the Airbomb team. They like to be called the 'Bomb Squad'," Mr. Houston chuckled. "This exposure will enhance Airbomb's presence in the mountain biking community," he concluded.
Airbomb's international team of 16 men & women represents all disciplines of mountain bike competition. Riders will be competing in Cross-country, Downhill, Observed Trials, and Dual Slalom. Road Racing is also represented by two riders in Europe and Canada.
Results from early events have been very positive with Airbomb riders taking several podium spots in March and April.
