CacheFlow Adds Former Novell Exec. to Lead Global Marketing Team

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 25, 2000--CacheFlow(R) Inc. (Nasdaq: CFLO) today announced that
Patrick Harr has joined the company as vice president of marketing.

Formerly director and general manager for Internet caching and security services with Novell, Inc., Harr will drive
CacheFlow's global marketing strategy and initiatives. He will be responsible for building on the company's position as the leading provider of Internet caching appliances for the e-commerce, enterprise and ISP markets.

In his five years with Novell, Harr developed the business, product and launch strategies for the market introductions of the Novell Internet Caching System(TM) (ICS) - a software-based caching product - and Novell BorderManager(TM) - the
market's No. 1 proxy server, with sales approaching $50 million per year. He also championed Novell ICS's exclusive
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) channel strategy, which produced agreements with leading manufacturers such as
Compaq, Dell and IBM. Prior to Novell, Harr worked at Xerox in solutions marketing and for the U.S. Senate. Harr
earned a Master's of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Maryland and a bachelor's degree from
Tulane University in economics and Russian.
