Master, you do not believe in the existence of evil.

History proves otherwise.

And as a matter of Cuban law, Juan is property; he is forbidden by law from saying or doing anything other than what the Cuban State says he can say or do. What do you think the Cuban State says he should say now? What is the party line? What can Castro do if he refuses?

You say that the world pressure would prohibit Castro from harming Juan's relations. How about some trumped up sex charge? Illegal speculation? Helping X squared on SI? A show trial perhaps.

Additonally, what if Juan's and castro's wishes are the same?

Elian's statement of "No Papa, no!" is still around.

Elian was not objecting to an early bed time, he was objecting to his being returned to what you and I know to be a dictatorship.
