My view is that since Jill and I started, and run this thread as we see fit, those people who are not willing to discuss options, engage in a little personal banter, and do so respectfully can find other places to post.

I respectfully disagree with you. You and Jill started the thread, kudos to both of you. You invited ed, myself and Rose and other respected contributors to option trading to participate in your new thread. In the early stages the thread prospered because of the contributions of those seasoned investors. Newbies came to the thread to learn new ideas.
If you think that by starting the thread you make yourself a self-appointed managers, you are far from right. People are bound by SI terms of use and not by Poet of Jill's code of ethics or personal preference of favoritism. As I stated, you are not the judge and jury of this thread. And you cannot insist on your personal value judgement what is mean or cynical or what is acceptable (please let me know if you need examples). There will be disagreements, let it be, as I said, that will bring the best from each of us.
I have discussed with you how a thread die. If you want to continue to motherhenning this thread that is up to you, but you will lose valuable contributors. Now you have lost ed, one of the finest and seasoned investor. Where were you when he was lynched by several on this thread. Seems that your value judgement condoned that. I hope that you can follow my point that if you so claim to manage this thread, you did not show objectivity. I did expect better from you in this regard.
