William <You know not of which you so colorfully speak, GST> Actually, I do. Glenn and I are talking about the losses by the net companies, not the losses of the shareholders of net companies. AMZNs losses are a case in point, but there are hundreds if not thousands of companies whose mounting losses are indeed staggering.

While we are on YOUR topic, it is also true that the losses in market cap are staggering -- you are right, this is true. Many trillions of dollars in supposed market cap have been wiped out. But this is not what we were talking about.
