Signal Technology Keltec Division Funded For PAC-3 Contract

DANVERS, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 2000--Signal Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:STCO) today announced that funding has been released for initial production of Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) MISSILE power supplies from Lockheed Martin. This award comes after successful flight testing at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The PAC-3 MISSILE is a high-velocity, hit-to-kill missile and is the next generation Patriot missile being developed to provide increased capability against advanced theater ballistic missile, cruise missile, and hostile aircraft.

Signal Technology's Keltec Division in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, will be responsible for the low-rate initial production (LRIP-1) of these power supplies. Long-term follow-on will be funded on an annual basis.

"This award re-enforces Keltec's focus and long-range plans to become the leader in the military power supply and amplifier market. This contract affirms the success of the continuous improvement process at Keltec," said John Cotumaccio, President, Keltec Division.
