Georgeb (not OT),

Thanks for the additional, more complete info on the competing storage technologies. Any company entering the SAN arena clearly must highly consider using Fibre Channel networking technology.

SAN market share is dominated by EMC, an "800-pound gorilla" that is nearly impossible to compete with. It sounds like Lucent, with its OptiStar(TM) product line, is doing a smart thing in finding a different niche by focusing on inter-SAN (my term) connections via WANs. Clearly, as SANs become more prevalent, their ability to communicate with each other, and with the various servers which need the data they store, via LANs and WANs will be crucial. Any ideas on how Lucent's OptiStar(TM) product line is shaping up? Is this going to be one of Lucent's primary revenue sources in the future?
