Here's a really dumb question for you: What does "open" an email mean? Does it mean to be able to read the text of the email, or to open an attachment? In Netscape, to delete an unread email, it must first be selected, which "opens" the text of the message in the email reader. I've always wondered if that process would permit a virus to propagate even if imbedded links or attachments were not selected. I've wondered, but was too embarassed to ask. <g> jim
