OT -- I wouldn't usually bother the thread with stuff like this but this virus is rampaging the net today. I personally got 12 copies this morning. This message may be relevant.

________
The ILOVEYOU virus is spreading pretty rapidly around here, so you may want to keep your eyes open and warn your staff. It's been sent to me three times in the last 15 minutes. It's one of those classic viruses that sends itself out through the Outlook address book - fortunately not too many people here use Outlook. I have Norton Anti-Virus Corporate edition, and it didn't catch it.

Here's part of the warning I sent out to my faculty and staff:

It's a short e-mail that has "ILOVEYOU" for the subject, and the body simply reads "kindly check the attached LOVELETTER coming from me."

There is an attachment entitled "LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.TXT1.vbs".

DO NOT CLICK ON THE ATTACHMENT - it will apparently destroy JPEG and MP3 files. If you use Outlook as your e-mail client, it will forward the message to everyone in your address book.
