A more fitting cover for Atlas might have been a buxom, half-clothed Dagny being ravaged by the virile Reardon, with the robot Galt waiting his turn in the background.

The problem with any philosophy is that it springs forth from the human mind, tainted by the experiences and life of the "creator". Ayn Rand is no different and her writing and life reveals much about her own personal weaknesses and failings.
She wrote once in frustration - and I may be paraphrasing slightly --"I no longer seek intelligent disagreement, but intelligent agreement".
She lost me right there. When one can no longer accept criticism or dissent, one is no longer a leader, but a dictator, regardless of the beliefs espoused.
