IMHO: Margin should be restricted to only a handful of investors. Most people should stay away from the more risker type of investing such as Margin, Options and Shorts.

I'm sure that many people got hurt last month in a number of stocks. To point out a single stock is extremely unfair but people do have certain agendas. As we all know, many high-flying Internet stocks have come down to Earth. The high market capitalizations have become more realistic. This is good in the long term for us all.
