Ted did you really expect the next versions of Athlon to work on your current MB? Mani Yes, I did...why would I expect to have to replace a MB when I upgraded Athlons. Given the way chip costs were dropping, I figured I could do the upgrade in 6 mos to a year with a new 950 chip for the same price as the 550 I installed in March. I believe others are thinking the same way; not knowing that they will have to replace 6 mos old MB's at the same time. ted
