Hello Doc Bob, I am new to this stock and have done a little poking around concerning this latest press release: BeVocal Announces Licensing Agreement With Lernout & Hauspie biz.yahoo.com From the BeVocal site I got the impression that they were a new startup surviving on venture capital. On April 14, 2000 they got a new round of financing: bevocal.com This was interesting... One paragraph states: Yogen Dalal of Mayfield Fund, stated, "Mayfield Fund is continuously searching for high-caliber teams possessing the ability to take advantage of huge market opportunities. We are convinced that BeVocal has the development capability and marketing talent to dominate the consumer voice services market. They are poised for tremendous success." Dalal is Chairman of the Board of leading speech recognition software vendor Nuance Communications (NASDAQ: NUAN). Hmmm.... Dalal is on the board of Nuance and was involved in the funding of BeVocal from Mayfield Fund. Thus, I am assuming this latest press release is a bit of a coupe since BeVocal is licensing from L&H not Nuance. Or maybe I am just confused... Thoughts? Dave
