We played what could probably be categorized as contemporary country-gospel. Mostly, we just played at churches, old peoples homes, etc., although we did cut two albums.

That was a long time ago. Unfortunately, for the last 10 years, I really haven't been able to dedicate the time that it takes to make music a profession.

If your son is trying to get something going in the Christian music scene (or any music scene, for that matter), his top priority should be to get several excellent vocalists together. Instrumentalists are relatively easy to find or develop, but a group of vocalists that sound good together and compliment each other is very rare.
