dba Telecom Appoints President and Director
May 4, 2000, North Vancouver, B.C. -- dba Telecom Corporation (CDNX: DBA) is pleased to announce that Garry Hines has been appointed as President and a Director of the company. Mr. Hines was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company in February, 2000 and this current appointment confirms his leadership position for the company. He succeeds Mr. John R. Henderson who is devoting more time to his business interests in Hong Kong; Mr. Henderson continues as a director of the Company.
Richard J. Siemens, Chairman of dba Telecom, said, "the Directors of dba Telecom welcome Mr. Hines appointment as President and his election to the board. Mr. Hines brings a wealth of experience to the Company, having managed telecommunications companies in the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Hines appointment commences the next phase of dba Telecom's development from an engineering based company to a market driven operation."
Mr. Hines said "I look forward to delivering the expected revenue growth from the newly released products and renewed focus on key distribution channels. In addition, we are actively investigating complementary acquisition opportunities to further drive growth in our markets."
