Ken, you have put it very nicely into words...the 'Greenspan put' is a reality, and all the big speculators know it. BUT i do believe that at some stage there will be too many balls that need to be juggled at the same time, and there are several historical examples for reflation efforts failing in the face of a crisis. actually he has created the ultimate bubble...a real monster, scary to contemplate. and NOW he comes and warns everybody...LOL! '98 was a very good opportunity to vanquish the moral hazard problem...and it was squandered.
