scarecrow, "It appears to have overwritten my c:\win32dll file and my mskernel32 file... Anybody have a deep link to an MS site where I can get those two? what are the exact filenames you need? are they as appear above, ie, win32dll and mskernel32? what are the extensions? i was going to offer to email them to you if they are not too large, but given the circumstances, you may not find that to be such an appealing idea. but i can't find the above files on my hd as you have written them. :) mark
