Poet, Jill, CosmoD, etal.....FWIW...I have been lurking here for well over 3 months, the thread has been bookmarked....and early on when I didn't have any *other* threads to check on I would pop over here and start to learn the lingo, trades, and more importantly (to me at least) the *thought process* behind trades that were shared here....*kudos* to those that are brave enough to lay it out there and explain the trade they have just put on....
I am a true *rookie* when it comes calls, (written many covered calls), I have put on a total of 5 call purchases with mostly G&K stocks, and they have all been profitable, some small, some large.....luck??? I'm sure.....good planning??? a little bit.....confident in the underlying??? absolutly.......BUT, what has made me more confident in even attempting to try that type of trade has been the *experience* I have learned on this thread.....
Lately however, things of course, have strayed from what this thread has purported to be....I believe everyone has a right to be heard in this public forum, WHEN IT IS ON TOPIC, when *posters* are forced into a corner and *made* to defend themselves, it serves no purpose in what we are trying to accomplish here (at least what I'm trying to accomplish), we are big boys & girls here, and I for one can look after myself and make my own mind up as to the validity of any posters *thoughts*....this *spat* is getting old, and the market is getting tougher....we need to move on...and get BACK ON TOPIC.....thanks for indulging an option newbie!! |
