I am now an official RCNC "Gormand"
I threw out a limit buy at $23 3/4's today with about 5,6 other low ball limit buys on FTHL VYTL COVD VOD GBLX in this space and couldn't believe the blow off at days end.I even added a bit at $24 1/4.
I was watching the tape - I think the "MM" was taking in some shares. 2 quick 50,000 buys ($2.4 Million dollars) late in the day kicked an uptic to $25 and then the stock got taken back down sub $24 immediately for a bunch of multi 100 share lots ? I saw another 35,000 share buy ($850,000) on yet another uptic to $25ish; only to get taken down quickly by another bunch of 200, 300 share lots...
Obviously we had a major seller this week and some shorts piled on and the "MM" probably got "well" after the blood bath he had to take making a market during the freefall during the last month.
I'm from the Chicago area and I hear nothing but ice-water veined, , cool,calm confidence over the acquisition. It WILL be a huge success - it was a coup` - not that growing pains will not be encountered, but they are known, being addressed as we speak and are far, far from a significant problem.
From 45% to ultimately 60%+ of the population covered by building out less than 10% of the geography, to being fully funded with a ton of cash on the balance sheet, to having backers like the LVLT group, Hicks Muse and Paul Allen & Vulcan; I see one of the great asset plays in what will ultimately be a huge success story in the broadband buildout story that is only in the 2nd inning here !
I've got some more ammo left & will follow her down tomorrow if we get some bad news; simply too great a model, too much value, too much cash, too strong a group of backers, too many opportunities and too much headway allready made; to quit believing here imo ~ |
