At the time of the airing of that program, there had been no studies done. My guess is they were trying to generate interest in doing one. btw, the Diane Rehm show is an NPR talk show, not a gossipy TV show. The discourse is usually at a high level.

I don't think Ritalin is a psychoactive drug, anyway, so that was a poor example to have used. But some of the psychoactive drugs being prescribed to children are being questioned by responsible people.

And thank you for the lecture on morality. Like the philosopher says, judge and be prepared to be judged.
